The Mount Dora and Lake Eustis Railroad started operations on October 25, 2003.  This railroad is replacing operation of the former Orlando and Mount Dora Railway.  The railroad operates over 7 miles leased from Florida Central Railroad.  The 7 miles is former Sandford and Lake Eustis Railroad Rightway.  They operate two trains.  The Dora Doodlbug and the Orange Blossom Dinner train Doodlebug.  The Dora Doodlebug runs sometimes to Tavares and Sometimes to Sorrento.  The Dinner Train runs to Lake Gem or Eustis.  More information can be found at www.mtdorarailway.com
